Sarah Resnick was our garden coordinator for two harvest seasons. She made sure everybody was happy, engaged and satisfied with growing plants and herbs. She managed Oriole garden with over 100 families and worked with every person to ensure their functionality. Among other smaller tasks, she was in charge of talking to the church that owns the garden property. Before she left to the USA, she launched with the team a youth program where 25 people have started to learn gardening and leadership by meeting 3 to 4 days a week.

“I really love being there. People are extremely warm and welcoming. I’ve learned from them because they have the expertise”. She added “It’s a special place in Toronto. People come from Iran, China, Lebanon, Afghanistan, etc… they bring seeds from their countries and grow food and share with others. It’s an alive and special place”.

She wishes our garden a good harvest season and suggests we keep up doing lots of workshops to give a chance for new participants to work in the garden. Sarah thinks we need to introduce some fruit trees.

Before leaving Toronto, she invited everybody to visit our garden between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. See you there:)
